It is also important for Chuukese and FSMers to understand the links and or implications of what is presently going on in Iran, as one of the three nations (Iran, Lybia and North Korea) labelled by American President George W. Bush at the beginning of the last decade as "The Axis of Evil" when they started their nuclear programs.

As time went on, the Libyian Regime of Mohammar Khaddafy was toppled in a similar revolt and left only Iran and North Korea to pursue their nuclear weapons programs. President Obama tried to have a nuclear deal with Iran, preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons in exchange of lifting economic sanctions against Iran.

But as we learned recently, President Trump refused to approve that Obama-Iran deal, especially with knowledge of Iran's design to cause violent instability in the entire Middle East: (1) by arming the terrorists groups Hamas and Hezbollah to keep fighting Israel; (b) by introducing Iranian troops into the Syrian civil war to support the Assad Regime; (c) by secretly building weapons and rockets with which to hit Israel and all parts of the region; (d) by supporting terrorism against Saudi Arabia; (e) by repeatedly interfering with the US Navy and other navies guarding the oil supply routes through the Strait of Hormuz between Iran and Saudi Arabia into the Indian Ocean.

Some experts actually consider Iran more dangerous than North Korea, given the scope of the problems sponsored by or underwritten by Iran. We have all been suspecting that it is just a matter of time that somewhere, some people (i.e. the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan) whose interests have been directly challenged or threatened by Iran's hostile designs may be planning how to get actually get back at Iran. The recent articles out of the Middle East now confirmed that what is presently going on in Iran is definitely not some spontaneous, isolated development. If that would be the case, then from what happened in Egypt, in Libya and Syria, it may be possible that we are witnessing the beginning of the end of the Theocratic Regime of Iran which had been sponsoring terrorism throughout the Middle East as a way of building itself up as the center of regional power.

Last Thursday, TV Channel 10 in Israel, citing Israeli and American officials, aired a report which claimed that Israel and the United States had secretly signed a memorandum of understandings on how to confront Iran.
The accord was reportedly signed on December 12 after intensive talks between Israeli and US intelligence and defense officials and the ceremony was attended by the heads of the national security councils of the two countries according to Channel 10.
The agreement outlined “steps on the ground” against the various threats emanating from Tehran and culminated in the forming of three joint teams.
The first team is to deal with the growing threat to Israel and the Sunni Arab countries and plans to focus on Iran’s creeping encroachment on the Syrian Israeli border and its aid to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The second team was set up to gather intelligence on Iran’s nuclear program, which both the Trump Administration and Israel think is covertly commencing, despite the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers.
A third team would grapple with Iran’s ballistic missile program and the Iranian efforts to build underground missile silos, factories which manufacture precision weaponry and military bases for the Quds Force of the IRGC in Syria.
The Channel 10 report was aired a couple of days after Arutz Sheva reported Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani had offered Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza “ to provide the Palestinian people with all the means at the IRGC's disposal in the struggle for Jerusalem.”
Netanyahu rebuffs as “laughable” Rouhani’s charge against Israel
Jan 1, 2018 @ 19:17
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Monday rejected Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s claim that Israel was behind the anti-government protests sweeping his country as “false” and “laughable.” He said: “When the Iranian regime falls, and one day it will, Iranians and Israelis will be great friends once again. I wish the Iranian people success in their noble quest for freedom.”
