BREAKING: Second death on Guam related to COVID-19

imageGuam recorded its second death related to COVID-19 today. Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero made the tragic announcement during her daily briefing with the media.

The 79-year-old man, who had multiple co-morbidities and no travel history, passed away at 11:32 a.m. today. He was brought into the Guam Regional Medical City for a fever on March 24 and was transported to the Guam Memorial Hospital on March 25.

Doring Jesus, 68, was the first person to pass away from the coronavirus on Sunday, March 22.

The governor during her media briefing paused for a moment of silence. She urged island residents to continue their vigilance in practicing social distancing and social isolation.
